FAQ

Bulbs like dummy load

The use of incandescent lamps to simulate the load is not recommended because the absorption of current increases or decreases according to the temperature of the filament, to accelerate the lighting of the lamp when cold there is a peak of absorption up to three times exceeding its nominal power, to avoid this we use precision resistone (<1%) whose absorption is constant in every thermal condition, to clarify better we can refer to the graph that shows a load curve in the ignition of a common halogen lamp from 20W.
